Dr. Robert Żurek, Managing Director of the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, gave a lecture on the fall of the Berlin Wall. The occasion to take up the topic was the 17th District Competition of German Language and Knowledge about German-speaking Countries, which was held on Tuesday (22 October) in Świdnica. This year the competition was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
On October 11, 2019, in the Cultural Zone of Wrocław (Bar "Barbara"), a debate "History in public space. How is the past told to us? took place. It was attended by historians and experts in historical education from four countries of Central and Eastern Europe: Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania.
The discussion in Wrocław was organized as part of the "Memorial of Remembrance 1918-2018" project, implemented by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, the Paweł Włodkowic Institute (Poland), Post Bellum SK / Príbehy 20. storočia (Slovakia), Centrum pro dokumentaci totalitních režimů (Czech Republic), and Fundatia Academia Civica (Memorialul Victimelor Comunismului si al Rezistentei, Romania).

The Krzyżowa Foundation is holding the second and third series of workshops on sustainable food within the framework of the project: "Good food from nearby". The brave moderators: Franek, Jagna and Natasza do not give up in their coaching battles and carry out new activities in the spirit of peer education.
During the last three meetings we discussed important topics with students of Montessori Non-public Primary School: environmental costs and resources needed to produce food, wasting food in the world and in our homes and ways to reduce it. We also had the opportunity to actively experience the issues: we cooked from leftovers in the workshop kitchen in Krzyżowa and visited the ecological farm "Ekolomia" in Stoszów.

Between September 24th and 26th, Krzyżowa hosted educational workshops of the "Monuments of Remembrance 1918-2018" project.
During the workshops, young people who have participated in the project since the beginning of this year, took part in workshops devoted to civic education and listened to lectures on collective memory, conflicts of memory, attitudes towards foreign cultural heritage and, on the example of decommunization in Poland, the difficult process of settling accounts for the relics of the past.
