From 1 to 4 April 2019, young people from Wrocław and Tettnang stayed in Krzyżowa as part of a longer exchange that took place in the partner cities of schools (first in Tettnang and then in Wrocław). It was an exchange taking place within the framework of a new PNWM programme called "Eksperyment Wymiana" (Experiment Exchange), concerning school exchanges in the STEAM area (since, technology, engenering, art and mathematics).
The main theme of the whole exchange was to study the unfavourable aspects of the organization of events (mass and family): calculation of energy consumption, water consumption, waste production and waste quality, CO2 production, mass farming of meat and fish, and the search for alternative ways to organize an eco-friendly birthday party (alternative ways to produce energy, save water, use ecological materials, waste management and sorting, etc.).
At the beginning of April a group of young people from the Silesian Mountain and Cologne came to Krzyżowa.
For the third time, young people learning to work as painters, roofers, IT specialists and logisticians will have the opportunity to get to know themselves and break stereotypes. There will also be time to learn both languages.
One of the main points of the programme will be the joint work of young people for the benefit of the centre in Krzyżowa. The effects of their work will be visible long after both groups go to their homes.

On April 3, the second preparatory meeting for the project "Tradition connects generations" took place in Krzyżowa. The project is co-financed by the Government Programme for Social Activity of the Elderly (ASOS). The meeting was the last arrangements before the opening conference, which will take place in Krzyżowa on 25 April 2019.
The project "Tradition connects generations" has been implemented by the Krzyżowa Foundation since 2016. The aim of the project is to develop social activity of elderly people through integration within and between generations.
Students from the First High School in Gryfino and Von-Ravensberg-Schule in Bersenbrück spent the beginning of April in the sunny Krzyżowa. For both groups it was the first meeting with the place and each other.
The theme of the meeting was ecology, climate change and sustainable development. During the workshop, the pupils discussed together what are the biggest challenges facing us in this area and how we can try to face them. There was also plenty of time for fun, integration and getting to know each other!
