We are glad that we can present you a publication that is so important to us. A year after the death of Dr. Ewa Unger - co-founder of the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe and the long-term chairman of the Foundation's Management Board, we are presenting you with an album that shows the life of a person who rendered great service to Polish-German reconciliation. The author of the publication is Dr. Annemarie Franke - for many years associated with the Krzyżowa Foundation, currently a member of the Foundation's Supervisory Board.

On 26th April 2021, a meeting with Rafał Dutkiewicz, former mayor of Wrocław, was held and it subject was: "1990. The beginning of self-governing Poland from the perspective of Wrocław ”.
231 students and teachers participated in the meeting.
It was the fifth in a series of meetings organized by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, the purpose of which is to present the circumstances of the historic breakthrough that led to the collapse of the communist system and the beginning of democratic changes in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
On 20 April, Dr Inga Vindhdnaitė, a political scientist from Vilnius University, gave a lecture entitled "Lithuania's re-establishment of independence. Challenges the country faced".
It was the fourth of a series of lectures organised by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, which aim at explaining the circumstances of the historical breakthrough which led to the collapse of the communist system and the beginning of democratic changes in Central and Eastern Europe.

Digital ethics. How young people understand it?

A youth exchange on the topic of digital ethics brought 30 young people from Olkusz and Gräfelfing together in virtual space! Between the almost 30 screens a common thinking space was created in which connections grew. During the 4 project days, the young people reflected on their own media behavior, analyzed the connection between needs and the use of social media and apps. They discussed and clearly named the anti-democratic tendencies on the Internet and learned about the concept of "counterspeech". Furthermore the students developed options for action that strengthen their digital citizenship! The project was concluded with projects that the young people developed in bilateral teams.
