We invite you to watch the documentary "Invaders Despite Their Will. Polish participation in the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968", which is now available on YouTube.

The film is based on interviews with witnesses of time: Polish soldiers who took part in the intervention of the Warsaw Pact troops in Czechoslovakia in August 1968, and Czechs who watched their dreams of building socialism with a human face fall. It tells about the way Poles perceived their participation in the military intervention and about the reactions of the Czechs.

On 2-4 December, a meeting of the Polish-German Copernicus Group took place in Krzyżowa. This unique body consists of representatives of the scientific and journalistic community.

The aim of discussions in the Copernicus Group is to identify current, permanent and potential problems of understanding and agreement, differences of interests, points of contention and conflicts in Polish-German relations. The next step is to discuss in the group possible ways of settling them or finding solutions. The result of each discussion is the creation of a common strategy document called "report"("Arbeitspapier").

We invite you to listen to a conversation with Martyna Stec, an educator and trainer in the field of improving social-emotional competences, about the condition of teachers after the period of e-learning and what they can do to - in the face of the next lockdown - take better care of their well-being.

The conversation, prepared in form of a podcast, is a part of a project "Laboratory of Dialogue" carried out by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe together with Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Poland.

We invite you to watch the video recording of the debate "The world with (no) borders", which took place on 20 November.

The participants attempted to answer the question about the limits of progress and development of the modern world, and discussed how our reality may change after the crises we face today.

In the debate participated:

  • Edgardo Colón-Emeric - professor, academic lecturer, theologian, Dean of Duke Divinity School at Duke University (USA)
  • Leszek Gaś - Director of the European Parliament Office in Wrocław
  • Joachim Klose - national representative and head of the Political Education Forum of Saxony at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation

  • The meeting was moderated by Prof. Wojciech Szczerba (rector of the Evangelical School of Theology).
