Originally planned for Prague, the transnational meeting in our strategic partnership PartESDD (Partnership for Education for Sustainable Development and Degrowth Education) finally had to be held online. Together with the representatives of our partner organisations from the Czech Republic and Germany, we devoted two days to project management: we clarified formalities and financial matters, adjusted timetables, looked ahead to upcoming project activities and reflected on our cooperation. And a few sweet winter treats could also be "shared" on the screen.
During the meeting, the Krzyżowa Foundation was represented by: Agnieszka Duduś from the International Youth Meeting Centre and Anna Dankowska - a freelancer cooperating with the Krzyżowa Foundation in the field of ecology.
Snow has fallen. But even with a layer of fluffy snow, it can be seen with the naked eye that in recent weeks work on the construction of our garden behind the moat has advanced. Two structures, which have been created and have already reached their final height, are called "two towers" - these are two stone, self-fertilizing keyhole-type beds, the heart of which will be built-in small composters. One can only guess how well-nourished the vegetables grown in them will be and how it will soon affect their taste.
Before the first snows and frosts, a greenhouse was also assembled, which had been patiently waiting for this moment for several months in one of the foundation's storage rooms. We conducted a test which showed that it is already warmer inside the greenhouse than outside. This bodes well for the production of the first seedlings in early spring.
This year, for the first time the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe joined the coalition of NGOs active in the project Jochanneum Novum, funded by the Municipality of Wrocław.
Our task in this project was to carry out trainings for teachers of Wrocław primary and secondary schools on anti-discrimination education tool "Stories that move". The coordinator of these activities was Liubov Shynder - specialist of educational projects of International Youth Meeting Place in Krzyżowa.

„International youth exchange - meeting of partners” – under this slogan, an online meeting was held on 7 December 2021, addressed to people from Poland, Germany and Ukraine. Its main goal was to initiate tripartite partnerships between schools from these three countries, resulting in the organization of youth exchanges both in Krzyżowa and elsewhere.
Despite the online formula, the meeting was very popular and allowed the participating teachers to make new acquaintances, exchange contacts and experiences as well as ideas for future cooperation. The meeting was attended by people who know Krzyżowa well and had the opportunity to participate in our projects, as well as people who learned about the possibilities of organizing international meetings for young people thanks to this event.
