From 16th to 21st September, Krzyżowa hosted groups of young people from Jerzy Kukuczka Primary School No. 58 in Poznań and Albert-Einstein-Schule in Langen. Their common project concerned the topic of sustainable development. Pupils had the opportunity to explore this topic through active workshops, simulation games and creative workshops on upcycling. Upcycling is forms of waste recycling that produce higher-value products – valuable raw materials. The workshop showed not only how this process can reduce the number of materials used in production, but have also teached how to reduce the amount of waste in everyday activities.
On 15 September, a debut school exchange started in Krzyżowa. Young people from the Montessori-Biberkor school and from the High School in Świecie meet for the first time at the IYMC in Krzyżowa, and the motto of the exchange is "Faces of Europe". Students will discover together the history of Europe and its different faces. They will also get to know the unique past of Krzyżowa, in which the fates of many people and nations intertwined.
The project will last until 19 September.

In recent days, Krzyżowa has celebrated a special anniversary: for twenty-five years now, the Altkönigschule of Kronberg has been coming to Krzyżowa with its international partner schools to meet young people.
From 7 September to 14 September 2019, 41 students from Kronberg and partner schools from Las Palmas, Brest, Warsaw and Prague came to Krzyżowa to spend time together, to study about Poland and the Polish history, to learn more about the Kreisau Circle, the time of National Socialism and the German resistance movement during Nazi Germany.
Altkönigschule from Kronberg is the school that has been associated with the Krzyżowa Foundation and the International Youth Meeting Centre for the longest time. This special partnership was honored with a jubilee celebration in which Stephan Erb, Director of the Polish-German Youth Cooperation, participated in the meeting as a witness of the time.
