This publication describes the MMR methods - a model of reflective thinking, modeled on scientific, critical and creative thinking. The methods of the Theory of Constraints used in Onikszty in Lithuanian schools were used to create the model of reflective thinking.
The publication is a product of the MMR grant project (number MWSO-4-2019-156) co-financed under the project of Grupa Profesja Sp. z o.o. POWR. 04.00-00-0093 / 17 "International cooperation pays off. Dramatic scenes have been taking place on Poland's border with Belarus for many weeks now. As is the case with many issues, Polish society is divided and polarised. Some people are outraged at the ruthless actions of the Polish authorities and uniformed forces towards the refugees, while others defend these actions, denying their brutal nature, or maintaining that only a tough stance can stop the problem escalating under Alexander Lukashenko's regime and the drama of successive groups of refugees, who are growing in number.
We realise that the situation is difficult and complicated. We know that there are no simple recipes for how to defend the border effectively and how to resist the destructive actions of the Belarusian regime without breaching national and international law and without violating human rights. We live in a world of difficult choices. So what should we do? How should we behave?
The second meeting of the Council of "Krzyżowa" Foundation of the new term took place on 16 October in Krzyżowa. It was the first time when members of this body had an opportunity to take part in debates in the Foundation's seat. First meeting was held online due to pandemic. The new members of the Foundation Council had the opportunity to get to know both the place where the Foundation operates and the team that creates it.
A stationary meeting of the Foundation's Board was also held the day before.
We hope that in 2022, we will also be able to meet in Krzyżowa.
We are delighted to announce that the second stage of the renovation of the open-air exhibition 'Courage and Reconciliation' is now underway. This time, the renovation work focused primarily on the benches in the amphitheatre, which have been badly damaged after years of use and exposure to the elements.
"Courage and Reconciliation" is the title of a permanent outdoor exhibition in Krzyżowa prepared by the Polish History Museum in cooperation with the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe. On 20 November 2014, the exhibition was officially opened by Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz and Chancellor Angela Merkel. The exhibition was created on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Reconciliation Mass.
