The second meeting of the Council of "Krzyżowa" Foundation of the new term took place on 16 October in Krzyżowa. It was the first time when members of this body had an opportunity to take part in debates in the Foundation's seat. First meeting was held online due to pandemic. The new members of the Foundation Council had the opportunity to get to know both the place where the Foundation operates and the team that creates it.

A stationary meeting of the Foundation's Board was also held the day before.

We hope that in 2022, we will also be able to meet in Krzyżowa.

In the autumn, we traditionally welcome new volunteers to Krzyżowa. Two new fantastic friends - Charlotte Marquardt and Mykyta Nazarow - have been with us for several weeks.

Where they came from, why they came to Krzyżowa and what are their first impressions - you can read about this in short self-presentations.

We are very happy that Charlotte and Mykyta are already with us and we wish them that the time they will spend in Krzyżowa will be creative, interesting and full of good emotions!

The Krzyżowa Foundation hosted a meeting of headmasters, principals and teachers from local schools with Jacek Wasik, director of the Regional Representation of the European Commission in Wrocław. It took place on September 28, 2021 in the palace in Krzyżowa as part of the series of meetings "Civic Dialogues", carried out by the European Commission.

The meeting was opened by dr hab. Robert Żurek, managing director of the Krzyżowa Foundation. Then Jacek Wasik presented the possibilities of cooperation between schools and the EC Representation, after which the discussion part began. All those present could share their observations on the current opportunities and problems of Polish education. During the meeting, the educational offer of the Krzyżowa Foundation was also presented, employees of the International Youth Meeting Center - Anna Kudarewska and Adelajda Lebioda, as well as Dr. Tomasz Skonieczny from the European Academy talked about their projects, in which children and young people from local schools can participate. The meeting ended with a joint lunch issued on the occasion of the upcoming National Education Day, which was also an opportunity to integrate and continue discussions in an informal atmosphere.

Yesterday, the German ambassador, Arndt Freiherr Freytag von Loringhoven, together with his wife Barbara von Ow-Freytag and the consul general in Wrocław, Hans-Jörg Neumann, visited Krzyżowa as part of their trip through Lower Silesia.

It turned out that the Ambassador perfectly knows the history of the Kreisau Circle and Polish-German reconciliation, as well as the history and current activities of our Foundation, which made us particularly happy.

We are looking forward to another visit. We always warmly welcome such distinguished guests to Krzyżowa.
