The "Education in Memorial Sites" project has been implemented in Wrocław since 2013. Its basic assumption is to shape attitudes of tolerance and respect for other nations, beliefs, cultures, religions, and at the same time to awaken pride in one's own history and cultural heritage.

Young people from primary and secondary schools take part in trips to Memorial Sites, which are preceded by comprehensive preparations. During classes and workshops at the school, students learn about the history of the places they will visit.

Since the beginning of the project, 35,000 students from Wrocław schools at various levels of education took part in the project.

Between the 18th and 24th of November, there was the 21st annual celebration of Global Education Week which is annually implemented by the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe. The theme of this year's week was "Wake Up! This is the final call for climate”. With this occasion, The Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe widened our actions against climate change and organized several events and activities in this scope.

Throughout the whole week, we daily published in social media several posts with informative graphics about climate change and its effects with the aim of reaching more people and raising awareness about this issue. We shared various facts about climate change and related news around the world, as well as several examples of practical actions that can be taken against climate change.

Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe was among the winners of the GlobART competition organized by ProgettoMondo Mlal Onlus from Verona. The Italian organization realized the contest within the framework of regranting for global education activities financed by the European Commission ("Start the Change!" project).

The winning project of the Foundation includes 11 exchanges for young people and students aged 14-18 and 18-25, which will take place between October 2019 and 15 May 2020. The target group (300 people) are young people of different nationalities (from Poland, Germany, Ukraine, Romania) who will participate in youth exchanges at the Krzyżowa Foundation. One of the main topics of these meetings will be global education. The youth will work on one of the selected topics:

In recent days, Krzyżowa has celebrated a special anniversary: for twenty-five years now, the Altkönigschule of Kronberg has been coming to Krzyżowa with its international partner schools to meet young people.

From 7 September to 14 September 2019, 41 students from Kronberg and partner schools from Las Palmas, Brest, Warsaw and Prague came to Krzyżowa to spend time together, to study about Poland and the Polish history, to learn more about the Kreisau Circle, the time of National Socialism and the German resistance movement during Nazi Germany.

Altkönigschule from Kronberg is the school that has been associated with the Krzyżowa Foundation and the International Youth Meeting Centre for the longest time. This special partnership was honored with a jubilee celebration in which Stephan Erb, Director of the Polish-German Youth Cooperation, participated in the meeting as a witness of the time.
