Intercultural cooperation is one of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, but so far it has rarely been used in practical nutrition education. Slow Food Deutschland e.V.  and Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe want to change this by implementing an intercultural project as part of Polish-German cooperation.

Under the project: "Food - with a tradition in modernity. Nurturing and developing the perception of the value of regional and seasonal food. Environmental communication and nutrition education in a European context " many interesting projects are planned: creating an ecological educational garden for children and youth in Krzyżowa and a kitchen laboratory, developing teaching materials on the sustainable use of food. A nearby Primary school of John Paul II in Grodziszcze is invited to cooperate in the project. Many other schools will hold workshops in the garden and in the kitchen laboratory. The experience gained from the project will be published in the form of a bilingual Polish-German publication as a food seasonality calendar. The project is financed by Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt.
