The Krzyżowa Foundation received Lower Silesia Key to Success in June 1999 for its extraordinary achievements in the field of culture.

The medal was given to Krzyzowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe and Kreisau-Initiative Berlin to award the reconciliation between Poland and Germany and to prize the involvement of those who after 1989 united people from different countries in Krzyzowa.
