Trilateral Polish-German-Ukrainian youth exchanges have been taking place at Krzyżowa since the Foundation's beginnings. Our statistics show that in the past 10 years alone, 139 international educational projects in partnership with Ukraine have been completed with a total of 1886 Ukrainian participants. These meetings are not only about getting to know each other, acquiring knowledge about another country and culture, or spending time actively. Above all, they are bonds which make it difficult to stand aside when something bad happens to our friends.

That is why, since the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, we have been receiving signals from German partners, schools and exchange participants that they are ready to help and support the victims of war, remembering especially the partner schools. Collections and aid campaigns are organised to provide real help to those affected by the war, but also to show them that they are not alone.

A few days ago, we received a transport with goods from the German Eugen-Bolz-Gymnasium in Rottenburg (EBG), which organized a collection for refugees in Krzyżowa.

As part of the Rheinberg-Wągrowiec-Lviv school partnership, a school from Germany also organised a humanitarian transport which went directly to its partners from Lviv.

We know that many similar initiatives are underway and further support activities will take place soon. We will keep you informed about them.

In these dramatic times, we see that international youth exchanges have great power!
