From 2 to 9 August, the "Work Space For Young Artists" took place in Krzyżowa, which is a unique meeting of young people from different countries. 44 participants aged 13-17 from Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany took part in it. It was the first international youth group to come to Krzyżowa since the pandemic was announced.
For 7 days, the participants of the "Work Space For Young Artists" developed their artistic talents under the supervision of experienced instructors and educators. The program included, among others, art, handicraft, dance and circus classes. Team games, integration games and language animations was also an important element.
During the youth meeting, also 8 hours of workshops on the Sustainable Development Goals and artistic workshops as part of the GlobART 2030 project in cooperation with ProgettoMondo Mlal were carried out. The workshop was co-financed by the European Union under the project: “Start the Change! Educational model on global active citizenship to reach the Sustainable Development Goals with a special focus on the relationship between migration and inequality”, Grant: Contract CSO-LA/2017/388-169.
Working with young people and for young people is one of the main activities of our foundation, therefore we have made every effort to be able to implement this project in a pandemic. Protective masks or helmets was this year's obligatory set of each participant. In addition, hygiene training, disinfectants in front of each building and reorganization of the canteen. The implementation of the project under the sanitary regime was a great challenge for us, but we undertook it to be able to repeat after Freya von Moltke: "Kreisau lebt! Krzyżowa is alive!".
