The private kindergarten "Zielona Kraina" is located on the premises of the "Kreisau” Foundation and has been operated by it since 2012. The kindergarten was established as part of implementation of a Project co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund.
The primary aim of the kindergarten is the child’s best interest.
The premises where the kindergarten is located are fenced and monitored. Children can go for long walks and play outside among the beautiful greenery of the historical palace-park complex and on two playgrounds. In accordance with one of the assumptions of the Montessori method, there is one mixed-age group of children functioning in the kindergarten which contributes to the exchange of mutual abilities and skills. Children learn to observe rules: Do not hurt, do not destroy and do not disturb. Children of different ages help each other and this is natural for them. On many occasions during the school year, preschoolers from "Zielona Kraina" take part in cultural projects implemented by the “Kreisau” Foundation, e.g. chamber music concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, film screenings, etc. In order to make the children happy and to reassure the parents of the right choice that they have made, our kindergarten group consists of a maximum of 15 children. Three females are employed to take care of the kids: two pre-school education teachers and one teaching assistant who supports the work of the teachers.
The kindergarten provides care:
- for 2.5 - 5-year-old children,
- between the following hours: 6.30 a.m. - 4.30 p.m.
- throughout the school year from Monday to Friday, on working days,
- during the school year which begins on 1 September and ends on 31 August.
During their stay at the kindergarten, children can learn foreign languages (English classes are conducted by a native speaker) and participate in eurhythmics and speech therapy classes.
Full board consists of 5 meals: First and second breakfast and dinner (divided into 2 parts) and also an afternoon snack.
Pedagogical supervision is exercised by the Lower Silesia Chief Education Officer.
