The second screening at the summer Outdoor Cinema in Krzyżowa will take place next Sunday – 9 August and will start a little earlier, at 20.30. This time we will watch the international production of the Swedish director Felix Herngren entitled „The Centenarian Who Climbed Out the Window and Vanished”. It is a combination of a black comedy and an adventure film about a nursing home resident who, on his hundredth birthday, decides to start his life anew.

The screening will take place in the courtyard in front of the palace, which will ensure social distancing. However, remember to take masks or other items of clothing with you to cover your mouth and nose. It is also worth getting warm clothes or blankets, because the evening can be cool and the session will last about two hours. Possible snacks and drinks can be purchased on site.

Participation in the Outdoor Cinema is free.

The inauguration of the Outdoor Cinema in Krzyżowa is behind us. On Thursday, 23 July, in the courtyard in front of the palace, the Polish musical comedy "Gotowi na wszystko. Exterminator" directed by Michał Rogalski was shown. It was the first of several screenings organized by the Krzyżowa Foundation for for Mutual Understanding in Europe from the funds of the project "Razem zdziałamy więcej", carried out under the Youth Employment Initiative.

For reasons beyond our control, we had to change the repertoire of the Outdoor Cinema. Instead of the film "Bohemian Rhapsody" directed by Bryan Singer, the film "Gotowi na wszystko. Exterminator" by Michał Rogalski will be screened. The screening will be held for sure, if the weather surprises us, it will be moved to a multifunction hall.

We invite you to join us!

This Thursday, July 23rd, we invite you to the screening under the stars. In the first outdoor cinema in Krzyżowa we will present you the film "Gotowi na wszystko. Exterminator" by Michał Rogalski, a Polish musical comedy.

The screening will start at 21.00 and will last almost until midnight. Because the evenings are cool, it is worth taking warm clothes or a blanket with you. Remember to cover your mouth and nose during the entire event. In case of rain, the projection will be rescheduled to another day.

On 25 and 26 June 2020, the first joint online "non-conference" organized by the Kreisau-Initiative e.V. and Krzyżowa Foundation team took place. This "non-conference" is a format called BarCamp originating from the USA and initiated in the IT environment (and the name does not come from the word "bar" but from the IT slang).

Our BarCamp online was entitled "(Hi)Storytelling: My History, Your History, Our History" because we were interested in the approach to modern and virtual forms of historical education in different countries. Initially, our invitation was addressed to educators and educators dealing with history and civic education from Poland, Germany and Ukraine, but eventually the participants included individuals from Russia, the Netherlands, Spain and South Korea.
