The first online workshop (out of the three planned) took place on 10-12 December as part of the project "My Europe of Freedoms / Mein Europa der Freiheit / My Evropa Svobody".
The main theme of the first two days of the meeting was the political, social and cultural breakthroughs of 1990 in the then Poland, NDR and Czechoslovakia. What moved people at that time and what reasons did they have to take to the streets and fight for their rights? These questions were faced by young people aged 16-29 from Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic taking part in workshops and a joint discussion about the past, common values and a common future. On the third day of the workshop, the participants learned how to write a historical-political essay.
The workshops, which are already behind us and those to be held in February and March, are aimed at supporting young people in writing an essay entitled "My Europe of Freedom". The essays will take part in the International Essay Competition, where a cash prize is waiting for the three best works. The deadline for submission of works is 12 April 2020. All interested parties are invited to submit their works and participate in the next workshops planned in February online or in Krzyżowa, if the pandemic situation allows it.
All interested are invited to fill in the application form on the website: https://www.moja-europa-wolnosci.pl/warsztat-pomyslow/
