On Monday, 15 June, the webinar "TikTok: Between lip sync and political participation" took place. In the 70-minute webinar, the participants learned what TikTok is about and how trends, hashtags and challenges influence each other, also to understand why it has a great fascination especially for young people.
In particular, the developments and social movements of the last few weeks were analy-sed to underline and understand why TiKTok is a platform for political participation. To make this clear, the participants worked on the example of the "Check Your Privilege Challenge" and tried it out. This challenge aims to help people understand their privilege and how they benefit from it and how they’re perceived in their daily lives.
