"A good start in craft" is another educational project implemented by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe from the ROP WD 2014-2020 funds, under Measure 10.4, addressed to students and teachers of secondary schools.
The leader of the project is the Lower Silesian Chamber of Crafts in Wrocław, and the partner together with the Krzyżowa Foundation is the Lower Silesian Voivodeship - the body running the following schools: the Lower Silesian School Complex in Bożków, the Lower Silesian School Complex in Jawor, the Maria Grzegorzewska's Lower Silesian Special Educational Center No. 13 for Blind and Visually Impaired Students and with other disabilities in Wrocław, the Maria Grzegorzewska's Lower Silesian Special Educational Center No. 12 for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students and with other disabilities in Wrocław.
Students will receive support in the form of professional internships, classes preparing for vocational exams, career counseling and preparation courses for qualifying, apprentice and master exams.A training class for the profession of technician in the fashion industry will also be created. while teachers will be able to take advantage of the offer of specialist training and postgraduate studies.
The aim of the project is to adapt vocational education and training systems to the needs of the labor market, and its implementation will contribute to improving the competences and qualifications of over 200 students, in particular students with disabilities, and will facilitate their entry into the labor market.
The total value of the project is nearly PLN 1.8 million, of which PLN 1.5 million will be co-financed by the European Union. The project was planned for two years.
