Biogram


She studied European Studies and Eastern European Studies in Regensburg, Munich, Passau and Wrocław, and received her PhD in General and Comparative Literature from the University of Regensburg (2014). During her PhD, she spent several months on research stays at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem (Franz Rosenzweig Minerva Research Center). Parallel to her studies, she expanded her knowledge of project management through her involvement in civil society, e.g. through a one-year programme at the Theodor Heuss Kolleg (Robert Bosch Stiftung and MitOst e.V.), Europa macht Schule e.V. or through volunteering in heritage conservation in the German-Polish-Czech programme of the Krzyzowa Foundation. She has recently completed a refresher course in digital marketing "Squared online".

Before Krzyżowa, she worked in a managerial position as regional coordinator for Poland and the Czech Republic at ifa - Institute for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries. During this time, she coordinated cooperation with German minority organisations, supervised seconded staff and organised networking meetings and training sessions. Previously, she worked as a research assistant and lecturer.
