From November 21 to 23, St. Rapahel Gymnasium from Heidelberg and I Liceum Ogólnokształcące from Jelenia Góra, which have already been in exchange for 15 years, visited Krzyżowa. The exchange had already started two days earlier in Jelenia Góra, with the accommodation of the German students in Polish host families. In Krzyżowa there was then time to get to know each other better through integration games and to learn about the history of the place. In international small groups, the exchange participants dealt with their visit to the former concentration camp Groß-Rosen, with human rights and with the term "resistance". A workshop in the exhibition "Courage and Reconciliation" connected the historical events with current topics and issues. For those interested, there was also a candlelight reading of the farewell letters of Freya and Helmuth James von Moltke at the House on the Hill on the second evening, which touched the participants very much. On Wednesday the group went further to Wrocław.
Great that you were there and see you next time!
