From 11th to 16th of September, 46 young people (between 16 and 19 years old) from the XXVIII Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Jana Kochanowskiego in Warszawa and the Georg-Christoph-Lichtenberg-Schule in Ober-Ramstadt, together with their teachers, met in Krzyżowa to get to know each other and also to deal in several workhops with "Polish-German History and remembrance culture". Besides integration and language animation activities and a tour through the history of Krzyżowa, they actively exchanged in small working groups on their family histories, important historical events of their countries, discussed about the different perspectives and aspects influencing history and memory and on questions, inspired by the exhibition "Courage and Reconciliation": How to contribute to the future? How to build Europe together? How to remember the past?

For many participants, the visit to the former Concentration Camp Groß-Rosen was a highlight of the week. Another day they spent with discovering places in Wrocław. For the common evenings they prepared for each other culinarical specialities, tought each other polish and turkish dances, enjoyed  the time at the bonfire, organized basketball games and disco and, over all, had a lot of fun together.
