On 13-17 July 2020, the second summer camp "Closer to nature" took place. This time there were three groups: two with younger participants (children aged 7-10) and one group of young people aged 11-14. All of them spent a very intensive week developing their interests and trying to put them into the context of ecology and environmental protection, as these were the subjects to which most of the classes were dedicated.
In a spirit of cooperation and respect for nature, young people learned mainly English, and a group of younger children developed their artistic skills. There were also sports and integration activities and, of course, good fun, which is the basis of summer activities. The picturesque surroundings of Krzyżowa and the beautiful weather favoured walks and observations of nature, which for some people was an inspiration for creative work, for others an excuse to learn new words in foreign languages.
An international team of educators with experience in non-formal education has made sure that summer camp were valuable, interesting, relaxing and safe for their participants - in accordance with the guidelines in force due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
