On Tuesday, 11 May 2021, an on-line conference was held, which summarized the project "Digital Mentoring - a new dimension of teaching", it was also aimed at disseminating the solutions developed during the project. The conference was organized by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe and the partner institution from Ireland - H2 Learning.
The meeting was opened by Iwona Machoń-Pluszczewska, the project coordinator, presenting the sources of funding and the main assumptions of the project and its team: Tamara Chorąży and Jolanta Kolinko from the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe and Maria Folk and Karolina Wójcik from H2 Learning.
The meeting was graced by the presence and lecture of Dr. Michael Hallissy, who is the co-founder of H2 Learning, who has over 25 years of experience working in the field of digital education and who is a national ICT advisor. He is currently working with teachers at all levels of education on the design and implementation of online and blended learning, including the TeachNimble program that he has developed with colleagues. Dr. Michael Hallisy contributed to the development of three digital strategies for schools at the Irish Department of Education and recently collaborated with the European Commission on ET2020 Digital Education: Learning, Teaching and Assessment (DELTA) and the ET2020 Schools Working Group on Blended Learning. Then, digital mentors from Poland and Ireland exchanged their experiences in implementing digital mentoring in their schools. The issue related to the implementation of digital mentoring in Poland was presented by Aleksandra Królak-Wąsowicz - digital mentor at the Stefan Banach Secondary School No. 2 in Świdnica. NDigital tools supporting the work of digital mentors in the form of workshops were presented by digital mentors Carrie Archer, Professional Development Coordinator at the Dublin City Education and Training Board, and Suzanne Yarker, TELMS mentor since 2018.
Over 60 people participated in the conference.
