Series of online workshops "Krzyżowa invites to creativity". Part 4: Cotton jewelry - new life for fabrics. Upcycling as an approach to handicrafts

Liubov Shynder, MDSM Krzyżowa

We invite you to watch the last episode of our series of online workshops „Krzyżowa invites to creativity", which present the approach of the International Youth Meeting Center to artistic education.

Step by step, in the form of films, we present four different artistic methods that combine elements of upcycling and thus show how to create art in accordance with the care for the natural environment.

We write more about the purpose of our project here: https://bit.ly/2RKSZYG

This time we show how to make ecological jewelry.
We remind you that our videos with workshops are available on our website, on our YouTube.com channel and on Facebook.

Part 4: Cotton jewelry - new life for fabrics. Upcycling as an approach to handicrafts

Cotton fabric jewelry is an option for creative use of T-shirts that we got bored, broke, stretched. It is important that the fabric from which they are made is elastic, i.e. it contains stretch. Let us also pay attention to the fact that there is no so-called iron-on labels, because then we will not want to roll up. Due to the simplicity of execution, we can make these decorations very quickly. We can also experiment further and, already knowing how to create strings from old cotton, use them, for example, to make the recently fashionable macrame, other home decorations, hangers for potted plants or to repair clothes.

This video shows us another, not too demanding and quick way to use fabric creatively, which gives an interesting end result.
Cut, combine, reel and energize with colors!
