Centers providing education on sustainable development and adaptation to climate change should, in order to be credible, lead by example and implement pro-environmental solutions. This cannot be done without conscious, educated and motivated teams – writes Ania Dańkowska in an article for the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
Ecological education is an important element of the Krzyżowa Foundation's activity. From April to November this year, we made additional efforts to ensure that our activities are fully compliant with the principles of sustainable development. We wanted to involve the whole team in the process of shaping the changes.
As a part of the project "Towards sustainability in education and practice", a series of training sessions for the whole team took place, during which everyone had the opportunity to take a closer look at the environmental and climate situation in the world and to consider how the whole institution, and each and every one of them, in their daily work, can be involved in a more sustainable way.
