Are borders real or do they only exist in our minds? Is it possible to imagine a world without borders?
Have you ever had difficulties crossing a border?`
These are just a few of the many questions about migration, borders and identity that the exhibition
"JAZDA!" asks. As part of the project "Remembering Together - Shaping the Future", it was
developed last year by 25 voluntary service workers. The project was organised by the Museum
Friedland, the Fondation du Camp des Milles and the Kreisau Foundation for European
Understanding and took place in 2022.
After the exhibition was first shown as an "intervention track" in the permanent exhibition of the
Museum Friedland, there is now also a Krzyżowa version.
Until the end of June, questions, info cards and QR codes invite visitors to engage with migration,
borders and identity. Visitors can leave their own thoughts at various points so that the exhibition
can also grow and develop over the coming weeks. In addition, books from the library of the
Krzyżowa Foundation invite visitors to take a closer look at some (KrKrzyżowa) aspects of migration
and identity. A cosy seating area invites visitors to linger for a while.
The texts of the exhibition are in German, Polish and French, some materials are also available in
English.
