From 14. - 18. March 2022 22 pupils from Zespół Szkolno-Przedszkolny nr 3 Wrocław and Albert-Einstein-Schule Langen met in Krzyżowa.
Already during the integration and language animation games it became apparent, that the pupils were very openminded and really wanted to get to know each other. In the workshops on global education and history, they discovered the place of Krzyżowa through a Rallye, learned about the Kreisau circle within a guided tour to the House on the hill and, inspired by that, worked in small national groups on global topics and sustainable ability goals they chose. The beautiful posters they created about how to gain more equality and equal rights in our societies were celebratory handed over to each other on the last evening and promised tob e hanged out in the home schools.
One of the highlights during the exchange was the creating of wishing dolls, a slavic tradition, lead by our collegue Agnieszka Duduś. As the third partner within the exchange, the Ukrainian school from Lwów, unfortunately could not come due to the war situation, this creative workshop was a possibility to remember about them - but also about other people in the world, who have to flee from war and unbearable living conditions, as in our german exchange group there were also pupils who themselves suffered from escape experiences. The pupils really enjoyed this workshop and took a lot of energy out of it.
Another highlight was the trip to Wrocław on Thursday with a guided tour and visit of Kolejkowo-miniatur world. The evening programme was chosen and prepared by the pupils themselves: games evening in the ballroom, disco in the Palace basement and bonfire at the last evening.
At the end, pupils and teachers agreed, that the time spent in Krzyżowa was way too short!
