From 2nd to 7th of October 2021, a Polish-German youth exchange took place in Krzyżowa. It was attended by students of the III Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Juliusza Słowackiego w Lesznie and the Hohenstaufen-Gymnasium Kaiserslautern. Young people participated together in workshops devoted mainly to history, as well as language and integration activities. The program also included a one-day trip to the nearby Gross-Rosen Museum in Rogoźnica.

It was not the first meeting of young people from Leszno and Kaiserslautern in Krzyżowa. The previous one took place in 2019, and at that time also students from Odessa, who this year, due to the restrictions related to the pandemic, could not participate in the exchange, took part in it.
