"Peace begins with me" is a Polish-German-Czech educational project for young people aged 13-17. The group of participants is inclusive. The participants come not only from different countries, but also from different social groups (orphanages, foster families, refugees, families). Young people with fewer opportunities meet here young people with high social, cultural and financial capital. These groups in social life often belong to homogeneous communities, but at the same time they interact with each other. The meeting provides an opportunity to learn about various views, beliefs and needs. In an atmosphere of mutual respect, the participants talk to each other, try to see the multiplicity of perspectives and narratives and explain different points of view.
The programme of classes has been designed to support independence and comprehensive development of children. Participants can choose from a wide range of artistic workshops (circus, carpentry, art), a wide range of games, language, sports and recreation activities. The meeting place obliges the young people to learn about the history of Krzyżowa and the people who created it. Participants will be invited to reflect on the values that were and are important in the place of international dialogue and understanding.
