We invite you to listen to a conversation with Prof. Michał Bilewicz, a psychologist from Warsaw University, about prejudices and stereotypes and what we can do to change the climate of opinion in Poland.
The conversation, prepared in form of a podcast, is a part of a project "Laboratory of Dialogue" carried out by the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe together with Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Poland.
Podcasts of the Krzyżowa Foundation can also be listened to on the most popular podcast platforms: anchor.fm, Spotify, as well as on: Google Podcast and Breaker.
Yesterday, the German ambassador, Arndt Freiherr Freytag von Loringhoven, together with his wife Barbara von Ow-Freytag and the consul general in Wrocław, Hans-Jörg Neumann, visited Krzyżowa as part of their trip through Lower Silesia.
It turned out that the Ambassador perfectly knows the history of the Kreisau Circle and Polish-German reconciliation, as well as the history and current activities of our Foundation, which made us particularly happy.
We are looking forward to another visit. We always warmly welcome such distinguished guests to Krzyżowa.
On 16 September, the Lower Silesian Film Centre in Wrocław hosted a special screening of the documentary 'Invaders Despite Their Will. Polish participation in the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968'.
The screening was combined with a meeting with the filmmakers and witnesses of the time - soldiers who took part in the invasion. Together with students from Secondary School No. XIII in Wrocław the film was watched by the protagonists of the film: Tadeusz Oratowski and Henryk Wrona, as well as Markéta Bernatt-Reszczyńska - the author of the documentary.
The screening was followed by a discussion which involved not only the memories of the witnesses of history, but also a broader reflection on historical memory.
On Saturday, 4 September, a meeting of the Minister of European Affairs of Saxony- Katja Meier and the President of Świdnica- Beata Moskal-Słaniewska took place in Krzyżowa. Both ladies summed up the meeting as 'inspiring conversation in a nice atmosphere'.
The Minister has already planned further visits to Świdnica in the coming months. They will be connected with discussing possible joint projects. It is worth mentioning that in their work both politicians support a Europe open to the world, especially youth projects.
