Snow is still lying around, the ground is still deeply frozen, while preparations for the first earthworks to build an ecological garden are underway.
On 16th February 2021, a meeting with the contractor of paved paths, EXPERT BRUK PHU from Dzierżoniów, took place. We analyzed technical drawings, calculated, discussed, and all this with full concentration. Because - as you know - everything looks good on paper, we also confronted our calculations with the reality in the field.
With the eyes of our imagination we saw a winding path, a roofed pergola and in the distance swaying in the wind parsley and beetroot leaves.

The sanitary regime and prolonged restrictions related to the pandemic do not make life easier. But with our Third Age Volunteers, we've already dealt with even bigger problems. On 02/02/2020, two groups of four Seniors worked on the publication "Seasonality Calendar", which is being created as part of the "Food - with tradition into modernity" project.
Work on the publication will be a process that will continue throughout the coming year. During the last meeting, we started with a brainstorming session that allowed us to collect a number of ideas about the structure and possible content. During the next meetings, the structure and content will be detailed, and we will also create a database of hand-made photos to be used in the publication. More information on the progress of work soon!
March 2021 will marked the first anniversary of the death of Dr Ewa Unger, co-founder of the Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe and long-time chairwoman of its board, long-time president of the Club of Catholic Intelligentsia in Wrocław, a Wroclaw native who worked throughout her life for Polish-German understanding.
As an active member of the Club of Catholic Intelligentsia in Wrocław, Dr Ewa Unger had since the 1970s maintained contact with Catholic lay groups in the Federal Republic of Germany and with members of the Action Reconciliation Service for Peace (Aktion Sühnezeichen) in the GDR. She became a mainstay of the partnership between the parishes of Wrocław and Dortmund, which in the 1980s was characterised by an exceptional will to help and solidarity with the Polish population suffering from a lack of food and medicines.
We live in a system that in their assumptions often opposes the reality of life - the diversity of genders. Worldwide, we can observe a process of polarization, which is also taking place in relation to the issues of feminism, the concept of sociocultural gender or sexual orientation. Structural discrimination against women or those who are not heteronormative is increasing. To counteract existing structures, it is important to be aware of them and their consequences. The greater the exchange with different people, the greater the awareness of the limits we reach with our normative perspectives.
