Krzyżowa is full of energy again. Once again, children from "Schloss Wartenburg" from Kemberg and "Haus Sonnenhügel" from Erfurt came to Krzyżowa to spend a creative week together with their peers from a primary school in Wrocław.
Participants of "Winter Adventure" will take part in artistic, circus and language workshops, but above all they will have a chance to get to know each other better during integration activities - games and plays.
Stay tuned, first photo reports from the project are coming soon.

We observe with concern the current situation on the Ukrainian-Russian border. That is why we publish on the website of the Krzyżowa Foundation an appeal of historians from our Polish partner organizations, as well as our colleagues from Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia, to which we are also joining. The appeal is aimed at citizens of 5 countries who may be directly affected by the consequences of the new war and the expansion of the Russian Federation's "sphere of influence". At the same time, we believe that the imposition of any state on other sovereign states to demand the establishment of new "spheres of influence" should be rejected by all Europeans.Supporting such divisions undermines and destabilizes order and peace in Europe.
The appeal is published in Polish, English, Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Lithuanian and German.

About fifty young people from Poland, Germany and Ukraine participated in a tripartite exchange in Krzyżowa, which took place on 24-28 January 2022. The participants of the project was students from the Zespół Szkół w Krzepicach, Willy-Brandt-Gesamtschule Marl and the "STEAM" School in Dnipro. These are institutions that have been cooperating with us for years and whose students regularly come to Krzyżowa.
The subject of the exchange focused mainly on historical education and issues related to World War II, but it was also accompanied by creative workshops. Young people learnt, among other things, the properties of handmade and rice paper, from which they created hand-written letters. And the inspiration for these activities was the letters of Freya and Helmuth James von Moltke written during World War II.
